Annapurna Trekking Tour Duration : 19 Days

Day 1 : Kathmandu - Besisahar (823m)
Take a long drive from Kathmandu and arrive at small village of DUMRE (585m), following wild hairpin ends. Then again drive through a twisted road for about 30 kms. It will slowly gain elevation, providing nice views of BOUDHA HIMAL (6736m) and HIMALCHULI (7968m) and BESISAHAR (823m), which is our halt for the night.

Day 2 : Besishar - Bahundanda (1311m)
The trail runs towards the north up the valley and crosses several suspension bridges and passes various beautiful waterfalls. The peaks of Lamjung (6859m) stands above it. There are the last few shops before Jomsom in the he village Bahundanda.

Day 3 : Bahundanda - Chamje (2713m)
First descend downhill to Marshyangdi and access the level before you decide the route. You can cross on a makeshift bridge to the east bank, if the water level is low and if it is not , then continue on the west bank and climb high over a ridge, to rejoin the east bank trail over a suspension bridge at Sange. Climb high through forest of rhododendron and pine. The valley will slowly turn deep and steep merging into gorge. Halt for the night at Chamje.

Day 4 : Chamje - Bagarchap (2164m)
A small village called Tal stands at the foot of the waterfall. You need to climb throughout the day to reach it. Then you will be entering the district of Manang. After Tal, crossing a bridge will lead you to Dharapani (1943m), where you can have a cup of tea. Then go on trekking through the forest and reach Bagarchap, the first village constituting Tibetan architectural pattern.

Day 5 : Bagarchap - Chame (2713m)
The trail will gradually lead to the west having the beckground of Manaslu and Annapurna II which can occasionally be seen towards the south. Thev forest of Pine and Fir will follow. The small villages of Thangje, Charku and Kuparkot falls on the way. As we continue to trek, the view of the Annapurna changes all of a sudden.

Day 6 : Chame - Pisang (3185m)
Crossing the river will take the entire day. You will pass deep gorges at the proximity of the Pisang village at 3183 meters. Climb the top of a ridge to have an elaborate view of the Manag valley. The valley happens to be a N-shaped and hangs in a line between the snow capped peaks.

Day 7 : Pisang - Manang (3351m)
Descending to the valley floor covered with forest. Follow the trail through the flat valley, and pass the small airstrip at Stol. It is still under construction. Cross the river once again and visit BRAGA (3472m). En-route pay a sojourn to Braga Monastery. The village comprises about 290 houses, one stacked on top of the other. The flat roofs form verandahs.

Day 8 : Manang (3351m)
Take rest and get accustomed with the climate and spent the day in exploring Manang. Rest and acclimatization day at Manang and today we spend the whole day exploring Manang. There are about 500 flat roofed houses in the village. They are beautifully set amidst the picturesque scenery. The Anaapurna II, Annapurna III, (7855m), Gangapurna(7485m) lie to the south. The Tilicho(7134m) and the Grand Barrier lie to the west; and Chulu West (6420m) and Chulu East (6558m) to the north.

Day 9 : Manang - Churl Ladder (3868m)
Branch away from the Arshyangdi river and steadily climb to the alpine district. Look for Thar and Ghoral mountain sheep.

Day 10 : Churl Ladder - Thorang Phedi (4442m)
Ascend for about 3 hours and then descend for about 45 minutes and cross the Jarsang river. You will finally climb a small grassy valley. Halt there for the night.

Day 11 : Thorang Phedi - Muktinath (3798m)
Though it is not very difficult to climb the pass but the critical bend of the altitude must be kept into account. It takes about 4 hours to reach the top at 5416 meters. From where you can have splendid view of the Himalayas. The Annapurna Range lies at the south, the Mustang Himal and Mukut lies to the west. The deep valley of Kali Gandaki and the Throungtse peak and the Chulu peak are located at the north. The descending slopes seems to be steep and rough but offers exquisite view of Dhaulagiri (8167m).

The important pilgrimage spot of Muktinath (3798m) serves well to both Hindus and Buddhist pilgrims. There are Gompa and pagoda style temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu scattered throughout the region. There is a spot here, from where burning of natural gas comes out of the rock from the same place as a small spring. Day 12 : Muktinath
Rest at Muktinath.

Day 13 : Muktinath - Jomsom (2713m) – Marpha (2667m)
The trail descends quickly to the valley floor , which is about 1538m below. The descend lead to a dramatic change to an arid landscape , continuing to JOMSOM (2713m). take your lunch here. Jomson is one of the major villages on the trading route of Kali Gandaki. After lunch move to Marpha(2667) village and stay there for the night.

Day 14 : Marpha - Kalapani /Lete (2438m)
Tukche, a beautiful Thakali villages falls on the way and the stay for the night takes place at Kalapani or Lete. Thakalis are the tribe of the valley, related to the Gurung and Magars of the Southern slopes and have dominance over the valley.

Day 15 : Lete – Rukse (1800m)
A change in vegetation takes place between Dhauligiri and Annapurna from dry desert to pine and coniferous forests. The place offers bewiching view of the Annapurna. Halt for the night near the beautiful Rukse waterfall.

Day 16 : Rukse - Taptopani (1189m)
The meaning of ‘Taptopani’ is "Hot water". There are many hot water springs over here. Take a bathe in them and stay there for the night.

Day 17 : Tatopani - Gorepani (2853m)
Cross the trail and ascend Gorepani. Halt for lunch at Gorepani and take lunch at Shika. Steadily climb for the entire day. Thev terraced fields are left behind and a thick forest primped with rhododendron will start and lead you to Ghorepani. The halt for the day will be near the pass providing exclusive view of the ranges of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri.

Day 18 : Gorepani - Ulleri (2154m)
Take a morning walk to the Poon hills and enjoy the breathtaking sunrise and the view of about 50 mountains. Return back to the hotel and have your breakfast. Then trek down to Ulleri. The trek continues for 5 hours and lead you through a Rhododendron forest. The lunch will be served at Banthanti. If the weather is clear, Machhapuchre and Annapurna mountains can be viewed well. Have your dinner in the lodge or the hotel and stay overnight.

Day 19 : Ulleri – Pokhara
The descend is very tiring. The trains of mules carrying goods will be seen often and is funny indeed. Cross the Birethanti and the Tirkhedhunga village and reach Nayapul. Drive to Pokhara in the evening and stay there in a hotel, overnight.
