Apart from that, there are several Tibetan monasteries, traditional villages, hot springs, which makes the destination much more interesting. Himal, the snow capped peak of Annapurna , the Trishuli river overflowing with white water has all the abilities ti enchant any tourist to the core. Day 01 : Arrive in Kathmandu
After you arrive in Kathmandu, one of the representatives of the tour operator will take you to the hotel. Katmandu stay will remain filled up with an elaborate sightseeing itinerary of visiting the various Budhist temples and shrines. The guided tour will enlighten you with the cultural and traditional practices of the Buddhist society. The sojourn to the different places of the capital city will also enamor your mind you with a lively experience. Another pleasant surprise will be revealed when you will be served with a sumptuous Nepali dinner in the evening. It will give you the opportunity to taste an array of delectable from the Nepali cuisine. The night stay will be scheduled at the Kathmandu hotel.
Day 02 : Kathmandu City Tour
Take an early morning breakfast and then start for the Swambhunath temple in Kathmandu. The temple of Swambhunath is about 2000 years old. It is a stupa, which provides panoramic vista of Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. After visiting the Swambhunath, we will proceed to Bouddhanath and Pasupathinath. Have your lunch and move to the Durbar Square in Kathmandu. One can also visit Lalitpur or Patan, one of the oldest cities in the valley of Kathmandu. There are ample Hindu temples, Buddhist monuments scattered throughout the city. It is very much likely to see the local artisans working with stones, wood and metals and making traditional articles. Stay for the night in Kathmandu.
Day 03: Kathmandu - Pokhara
Breakfast will be served at a very early hour at 7:00 AM. Pokhara will just be a drive of about 200 kilometers. Take the drive and enjoy the picturesque mountains and valleys of Nepal. You will reach Pokhara late in the afternoon. It is one of the places, where one can see the Himalayas at its best.The scenic beauty of the Annapurna Mountain and the ‘Fishtail’ mountain peak of Machhapuchhare is simply exclusive. Evening is the time to have a pleasant trek to the Poon Hill. Stay overnight in Pokhara.
Day 04 : Pokhara - Tikhedhunga (1491m.) Trek starts today.
Finish your breakfast by 7: 30 AM and take a drive till Nayapul, which is about 42 kilometers and takes about 1and ½ hours to reach. Take the way via the village of Lumie and then walk for 20 minutes till Birethanti, which is a prosperous town altogether. The walking track follows towards the main street of Birethanti and leads you through bamboo woods to a waterfall, which gradually falls into a swimming hole. There is also a pasture, which is mainly used by the caravans run by the ponies. As you will reach Sudami, have your lunch. Climb steadily up the side of the valley after lunch and you will soon reach Hile lying at 1495 meters in the proximity of Tirekhedhunga. There are various hamlets on the way and they give ample opportunities for camping. If the decision happens to be visiting Ghorepani on the next Day, then it will be wise to move on to Tikhe Dhunga. Stay in Tirkhe Dhunga for the night.
Day 05 : Tikhedhunga - Ghorepani (2855m)
Breakfast will be served by 7:00 in the morning and after that start the trek. Near the campsite at Tirkhedhunga, there is a suspension bridge to cross a stream passing over the trekking trail. The trail ascends upwards through a steep stone staircase that will take you to fields meant for cultivation. You will also come across a magnificent forest of Oak and Rhododendron. You will find a small sitefor camping after going for about 1 hour above Ulleri. The site consists of a hut with water. Two streams with sparkling clear water passes through the trekking track and continue till you reach the ultimate spot to climb the Nangethanti. Here you will be taking the lunch. Thanti is a Nepali word meaning ‘Dharamsala’ or ‘rest house’. The trail is covered with snow during winter. You need to trek for another one hour from Nangethanti to climb Ghorepani located at 2850 meters. The camping site lies at the top of Ghorepani. Stay overnight in Ghorepani.
Day 06 : Ghorepani - Poon hill - Tadapani
Wake up at around 5:30 AM and start the journey. It takes about 1 hour to climb the Poon Hill (3195m). The hill provides fascinating view of the sunrise over the high Himalayas without any hindrances. The snowclad White Mountain Peaks seen from Poon Hill are also exquisite vistas. After sunrise, return to camp for breakfast. The meaning of Ghorepani is"horse water". The name might emerge from the fact that it is indeed a place to welcome the teams of horses, mules, and ponies carrying loads between Pokhara and Jomsom and offer them water.The trail climbs south from Ghorepani. It happens to be a muddy path passing through the deep forests and t finally meeting a grassy knoll with nice views of the mountains, such as Machhapuchhare , which is not visible from Grohrepani pass and a picturesque view of akll the ways leading to the south to the Indian plainsThe Poon Hills offer similar views. The climb along the ridge of pine and rhododendron forests takes you to a maximum height of 3030 metres and then it is time to get down to a second pass called Deurali lying at 2960 metres. The mountains seem to be hidden along the ridge. There is a steep, sharp descent through a narrow path running along the stream, and then the way continues to climb downwards. At first, you will come across some clear pools along the trail which finally turns into a series of waterfalls passing over boulders jumbled up. On reaching Banthanti, the steep descent becomes favorably gentle. Stop for 1 hour approximately and have your lunch. The trail follows the stream going down and reaching a bridge from Banthanthi. Start climbing from there and leave behind the high forested mountain and you will soon reach a cane field. After few ups and downs, there will be a point of advantage at Tadapani lying at 2540 meters. . Tadapani means "far water", as the supply of water of the village comes from a long wayand is carried by porters, hence the name. The place provides limited view of the mountains. Stay for the night in Tadapani.
Day 07 : Tadapani - Landrung After an early breakfast start for Landrung - it takes approx. 6 hours from Tadapani.
This is the trail that descends through the forests to the terraced fields and finally reaching the Khummu Khola. The Ghandrung trail deshas a steep descend from Tadapani, and it passes through forests and a rocky way lead to a stream and continues gently over streams and ultimately emerging at the ridge to Ghandrung. It will be the spot for taking lunch. Ghandrung lies at 1940 meters and is Nepal’s second largest Gurung village. Slate-roofed houses with close space are clustered in a confused manner in the village. There are terraced fields below the village and a handicraft factory at the top of it. Outstanding view of the southern part of Annapurna and the fishtail aspect of Machhapuchhare can be peeped over from this location. Descend down to Sauli Bazar from here. The trail first descend downwards and then again climb upwards to another Gurung Village called Landrung at 1550 meters. Overnight stay in Landrung.
Day 08 : Landrung - Dhampus
Take an early breakfast which is by now a rule during the trek. The walk becomes rather easy from Landrungand take you past some fields and villages. There are houses bearing an unusuall oval shape. At 1710 meters, there is a settlement called Tolka. You will find many lodges over here. The trail meets the Modi Khola Valley after passing through forests full of ferns, orchids and birds and the huge canyon ofModi Khola. The trail climbs back a suspension bridge at 1690 metres after crossing a stream. The Bheri Kharka or the Bichok is the first point, from where the trail climbs the top of the hills at 2010 meters through a forest. The point provides excellent view of the mountains. The lunch break will be for approx. an hour. Then the way will descend downhill to Dhampus from Deurali at 1580 meters and reaches the Police Check Post at pothana. Exclusive mountaintain view are rewarded during the ascend along the ridge. Stay overnight at Dhampus.
Day 09: Dhampus - Pokhara
Early morning breakfast. Take the way downhill from Dhampus through the villages to Phedi. You will start at an elevation of 1580 metres. There is a village Phedi ridge lying at 1080mtres. It takes 2 hours to catch up vehicles from here and drive back to Pokhara. The lunch will be at the hotel in Pokhara. Stay for the night in Pokhara.
Day 10: Pokhara City Tour
Go for sightseeing around Pokhara valley after breakfast. The valley of Pokhara is referred as a dream destination in Nepal. Explore the various tourist attractions over here and go for boating in the Phewa Lake. The place has great view of the of Annapurna mountain, David Falls, Mahendra Cave and comprises some Temples. After having lunch, you can either rest or can go for shopping and collect some souvenirs. Overnight stay in Pokhara.
Day 11 : Pokhara - Rafting - Royal Chitwan National Park
Take a drive to Chitwan after breakfast. The drive will be a scenic experience. The road follows the Trisuli river. You can experience rafting in the Trishuli river. It is a great river for beginners and is also considered as an access way to Prithivi Highway. After enjoying rafting for few hours, take a drive to Chitwan National Park. Rooms will be assigned upon arrival in the lodge and a short briefing will be provided about the facilities and the tour. It is not possible that the itinerary will be maintained throughout but it will be according to the set schedule. The jungle safaris will have nature experts to accompany you ensuring propaer information about the surroundings and your safety.
4:00 PM: Elephant-back safari:
Ride on an elephant and explore the jungle and have a view of the wildlife. The animals you are most likely to come across are, one-horned rhinoceros, several types of deer, monkeys, wild boar, bison, sloth bear, leopard and. A lucky folk can also have a glimpse of the Royal Bengal tiger. This ride is exciting and lasts for 2-3 hours.
7:00 PM: The dinner will be served in the central dining hall. Overnight stay at Chitwan.
Day 12 : Royal Chitwan National Park
5:30 AM: Have tea or coffee and go for an early morning nature walk. This will give you the opportunity to get accustomed with eastern Chitwan.There will be an experienced guide to takew you through the Sal forest, the grassland and the jungle. You will come across various species of birds and plants.
8:30 AM: Breakfast
9:30 AM: A program for providing a briefing on elephant will take place. It will provide you with excellent pieces of information on the fascinating animal. If you are brave at heart then go for a short term course on elephant riding.
1:00 PM: LUNCH.
Go for canoeing in a dug out canoe of traditional built after lunch. It is a serene outing through the Rapti river and will give you opportunity to view various water animals and birds. Come back to the resort taking the way through the jungle.
7:00 PM: Visit a traditional Tharu Stick dance show. The show will provide the glimpses of the dance skills of the local frmers.
8:00 PM: Enjoy campfire and a hearty dinner. The night will be spent at Chitwan.
Day 13 : Royal Chitwan National Park- Kathmandu
5.30 AM: Take early morning tea or coffee and go for bird Watching or another elephant ride
8.00 AM: Have your breakfast
9.00 AM: Arrange the luggage and depart.
9.30 AM: to Kathmandu.
Stay overnight in Kathmandu.
Day 14 : Departure
Take your breakfast and utilize the time according to your wish, until you depart for the International Airport to catch the flight for the next destination.
