Note: Foreigners residing/working in India can pay either in US $ or the equivalent conversion of tariff in Indian Rupees as per Exchange Rate applicable on the date of giving booking/sending advance( Pls. check current dollar exchange rate with us). Indian passengers can pay in equivalent Rupee amount, at the exchange rate prevalent at the time of payment.
Tariff is inclusive of travel/catering/conducted sightseeing/entrance fee at monuments/parks/palaces/cultural programmes/camel ride/boat ride/rickshaw ride and for still cameras, Guest has to pay for video cameras, liquor, laundry and other items of personal nature.
Note: 10% Surcharge shall be levied on departure during Christmas/New Year.
The reservation/cancellation of passenger on the Palace-On-Wheels may be done as per the following terms and conditions:
- Tariff of the Palace on Wheels is subject to change without any prior notice.
- Your online booking confirmation is subject to the availability of seats on the desired dates and clearance of your online payment by our Online Payment Gateway, ICICI Payseal.
- We would send you the confirmation of your booking within 24 hours. Your online payment would not be debited from your Credit Card until confirmation of your booking is received from the RTDC.
BOOKING :
(i) 25% of ticket value at the time of booking
(ii) 75% of ticket value 30 days prior to departure
CANCELLATION
(i) 15% of ticket value 60 days prior to departure
(ii) 30% of ticket value 30-59 days prior to departure
(iii) 60% of ticket value 15-29 days prior to departure
(iv) 100% of ticket value 14 days prior to departure
CHECK IN:
Reporting time is 4 pm at Delhi Cantt Railway Station
MEALS:
The two restaurant cars, the Maharaja and the Maharani, serve a range of Rajasthani, Indian, Continental and Chinese cuisine. Menus are changed seasonally.
EXCLUSIVE CHARTERS:
Companies can organise a "Business-cum-Pleasure" trip by chartering the truly luxurious Palace-On-Wheels for their conferences.
CLIMATE:
Varies from 8ºC to 25ºC between September to March and in April around 30ºC.
CLOTHING RECOMMENDED:
Light tropical/light woollens.
OTHER FACILITIES:
- Doctor on call at the next station
- Adequate safety and security arrangements
- Complimentary mineral water on board/ in the coach during sightseeing/ and at hotels.
- Assistance for travel arrangements on completion of the tour.
- Voltage available on the train 110/230 V.
