Day 01 :Arrive Delhi
On your arrival at the railway station or the airport, our representative will welcome you and transfer you to your pre-booked hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02 : Delhi - Nainital - Pangot (324 Km), 07-08 hours
On morning of the day 2 of the Bird Watching Tour to Corbett National Park, drive to Pangot (8 hours), a journey that will take you on one of the world's most spectacular mountain roads as you climb up into the Kumaon Hills on your way to this delightful "lake city". In the afternoon, birding with a guide near the lodge. You can also stop along the way to watch birds like blue whistling thrush, blue-capped redstart, red-billed blue magpie, rusty-tailed flycatcher, yellow-breasted green finch, grey-backed shrike, among others. Dinner and overnight stay at Jungle Lodge.
Day 03 : Pangot
Birding at Pangot, Baggar, Timla Pani, Cheena Peak and Nainital. One can see slaty-headed and red-breasted parakeet, long-tailed and grey-backed shrike, grey bushchat, besra, common kestrel, chestnut-bellied rock thrush etc. Also see streaked laughing thrush, a common garden bird.
Day 04 : Pangot-Sat Tal-Pangot
On the morning of day 4, drive to Sat Tal (2 hours). The habitat offers species such as white-crested rufous-gorgeted flycatcher, laughingthrush, red-billed leothrix, rock bunting, Siberian rubythroat, etc. This scattered and deliberately undeveloped area is one of the most pleasant destinations. Look for rufous-chinned and white crested laughing thrush, greater yellow-naped flameback, rufous-breasted accentor, speckled piculet etc. In the evening, return to Pangot (2-hour). Dinner and overnight stay at Jungle Lodge.
Day 05 : Pangot - Corbett National Park
On day 5 of the Bird Watching Tour to Corbett National Park, drive to Corbett National Park. Enroute birding at Mongoli Valley. Besides tigers, Corbett Tiger reserve is also famous for a spectacular avifauna diversity. Great hornbill, grey-headed & lesser fish eagle, Pallas's fish eagle, red-collared falconet etc. are among rare birds that can be spotted in Corbett. Other birds include jungle owlet, red-breasted parakeet, scaly-bellied woodpecker, Himalayan swiftlet, stork-billed & crested kingfisher and white-tailed & Siberian rubythroat. Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.
Day 06 : Corbett National Park
on early morning on day 6 of the tour, leave for Dhikala tourism zone. Arrive at the main tourist complex in the afternoon and visit to the grasslands for birdwatching. Dinner and overnight stay at Dhikala Forest Lodge. In the lower jungle track along the Ramganga river, birding is rewarding, can spot water birds like river lapwings, mergansers, waders and other waterfowl. While visiting the grasslands or relaxing at the lodge, you can also locate long-tailed nightjar, spot-bellied owl, jungle owlet, common stonechat, purple and crimson sunbird, black francolin, golden-fronted & orange-bellied leafbird, hen harrier, black-shouldered kite, changeable hawk-eagle, chestnut-tailed starling etc.
Day 07 : Corbett National park
On the morning of day 7 of the Bird Watching Tour to Corbett National Park, elephant safari will take you through the grasslands and thick forests. Elephant safari is the best option for tiger-tracking. Return for breakfast. Spend time till lunch on a watchtower overlooking a water hole. Head for Tiger Camp halting on the way for birding. Best birding areas in Dhikala include Sambhar Road and Khinanauli. You can expect to watch great slaty woodpecker, puff-throated babbler, great hornbill, white-rumped shama, pallas's fish eagle etc. Arrive at resort for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 08 : Corbett National park
On day 8, explore the river edge at Kumeria for tawny & brown fish owl, Asian barred owlet, brown dipper, plumbeous redstart and the three species of fork tails. Other species that can be found in the forest include crested tree swift, blue bearded bee-eater, spangled drongo etc. Afternoon birding near Garjia temple on Kosi river. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 09 : Corbett-Delhi(280 km), 06-07 hours
In the morning, drive in Jhirna Range forest. Return to Delhi at noon. You will Delhi in the evening (6 hours drive).On arrival at Delhi, check in to the hotel. Evening free. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10 : Delhi - Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary (46 km)- Delhi - Departure
On last day of the itinerary, leave for Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary. Birding in the sanctuary. In the evening, drive to Delhi airport or railway station, to catch flight or train for onward destinations. Tour ends.
